Link Analyser | |
Finds out information about external links | |
Introduced in Version 1.31 The problem: Excel only tells you what files your spreadsheeet links to (under Edit/Links). It doesn"t tell you where in your spreadsheet the links are. What Link Analyser Does: It goes through each worksheet in your workbook, looking for links to other Excel files in your formulae. It then lusts out which cells have links to other files, and which fuiles they link too. It can help you track down where the links in your file are coming from. What Link Analyser can"t do (yet): Its very early days for the Link Analyser, and the output is a bit "raw". But one common link it can"t spot is the rangename link. This is where a rangename doesn"t exist in your file, and Excel (heaven knows how) "knows" that range name exists in another file. Watch out for that one, We will try to work out how to spot it. |
